DRC is currently looking for a highly-qualified Information Management Manager to join our team in Kyiv.
About the role:
As an Information Management (IM) Manager, you will lead the IM team supporting DRC’s Humanitarian Operations and Programming in Ukraine. Based in DRC’s Country Office in Kyiv, you will be directly responsible for managing the IM team. You will work closely with the MEAL and Information Management Unit, as well as key program sectors such as Shelter, Economic Recovery, Protection, and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding.
- This position reports to: MEAL and IM Manager; Technical Line Management under Humanitarian Mine Action Operations Manager.
- Roles reporting to this position: Information Management staff
You main responsibiblities will be:
- Support the maintenance and improvement of an effective Information Management system, including but not exclusive to coordinating the team to develop forms, tools for capturing, evaluating and improving project implementation.
- Line manage and build the capacity of IM officers and assistants (at least 3 employees) in order to ensure that data is processed to meet the relevant quality standards.
- Explore innovative means for capturing and using data, storing information and documentation, and managing information.
- In collaboration with the MEAL team, design and maintain a web-based platform for capturing and sharing implementation data and information.
- Act as the HDP focal point for the reporting of all HDP IM reports to National Mine Action Authority, Mine Action Center and other external stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and advice to the technical focal points across DRC’s sectors of implementation
- Produce routine reports of project progress including accurate data-analysis and gaps as required to sectoral focal points
- Ensure the security of all shared information as per DRC IM regulations.
- Disseminate IM reports to clusters, donors and stakeholders as requested.
- Attend meetings and other coordination meetings and provide updates as required.
About you
To succeed in this role, we expect you to have at least 5 years of experience in relevant field and at least 3 years of experience with people management.
Moreover, we also expect the following:
- Master's degree in political science, international development, economics or other relevant field
- Experience on knowledge in Mine Action specifically with extensive knowledge of the use of IM systems within IMAS
- Full professional proficiency in English
